2024 ins and outs

As we entered the new year I saw posts all over Instagram about how people aren’t setting any goals for themselves this year, they’re planning on ‘taking it easy on themselves’ and how if all you do this year is ‘survive’ then that's enough. The Capricorn in me was QUAKING. What do you mean no goals? No lists? No plans? Just the thought of it made me shiver. One must cram as much life into one year as possible! Meanwhile, I was writing my annual bucket list of things I want to do in the coming year, places I want to travel, habits I want to set - living for the hope of it all, excited for the chance at a new beginning.

Although this year, there was also the other camp online, that I probably fall into, sharing their ‘ins and outs for 2024’ finding some humour in change but also setting the agenda for what they’re no longer tolerating. These lists range from the futile to the life-changing, from the way they dress to the habits they make or their relationships. As a planner, constantly in a state of reflection and overall list-obsessive, I had to hop on this trend. I have my own key things I want to do this year, but these ins and outs are a little more general, things I want to see more of not only from myself but everyone around me - take it all with a pinch of salt!
